How does your phone messaging sound?  How you sound is how your Company looks to your customer!  With the internet and smart phones of today people are shopping outside their area like never before. They are comparing prices. Gone are the days where they went down to their local store to buy a car because that was the only one in the area that sold their brand.  Having the ability to shop all over the region or country for the car of their dreams is a game changer. One thing that changes that game more than anything is how your dealership is going to respond once the customer contacts you.

The only interaction the customer might have with you is the first phone call.  Do you make every second count?  Is your Auto Attendant setting the right tone?  Is your transfer message keeping the caller engaged?  Is your On-Hold Message Informative and selling your products?  Is your Departmental message relevant for the caller?  Is all your messaging updated?

How you answer the phone, what you say and what happens next is all they have to base their buying decision on.  How you sound is how your Company looks to your customer!  If you have an Auto Attendant which is a smart way to go by the way….Having a happy voice great them with a positive and profitable message is a smart introduction.  The VOIP Auto Attendant can be set to always answers on the first ring.  If you have a live person answer make sure they always set the right tone with the right profitable script.  When they are transferred are they hearing a transfer message that keeps them engaged until someone answers or until the voice mail picks up?  If the service manager has to hit the hold button to check on their car are they hearing about other service options they could add on or schedule next time? Silence or Just music will kill your profits!  If they are calling into the sales department are they hearing testimonials of how great the finance package is and how easy it is to get credit approval with your Company?

In other words control what the customer hears and make sure it is positive, uplifting and exactly what is needed to retain them on the line and close the sale.  You are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising…Bottom line is… Never leave a second of time to chance when dealing with a customer’s call.
